Non-Skiing Activities

Winter is a wondrous playground on Beaver Creek Mountain for both skiers and non-skiers alike.  No matter your inclination, make time to enjoy some of our Nordic adventures!  Take an evening sleigh ride through the snow covered Rockies on a horse drawn sleigh, or take a Snowcat Tour through the beauty of the backcountry with majestic views of Colorado’s highest peaks and Gore Range.  We're sure to find the perfect activity for you and your family this winter.

Dog Sledding

Take a breathtaking adventure through the glistening snow on a dog sled. Magnificent Huskies will mush you through the pristine backcountry scenery on a two-person sled. Dogsled tours are offered in the morning and afternoon in the Cordillera area west of Beaver Creek. Each tour is seven miles long and lasts about two hours.

Snow Tubing

Ride up to the top of Meadow Mountain on a lift, then tube down on a groomed run and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Head out by yourself or chain to other tubes for an exciting family adventure down the mountain. Afterwards, warm yourself with a cup of hot chocolate and a snack. Wear your ski clothes and bring the camera! Lift tickets are $16 per person, per hour and the last sign up is at 4 p.m.

Snowmobiling

Experience a Colorado backcountry escape on manicured trails and pristine powder-filled bowls and meadows for the ultimate mountain riding odyssey.  Venture out on half-day or full-day guided tours of the groomed trails in the White River National Forest.  Start out at 8,000 feet and climb to 10,500 feet for amazing views of the mountains and peaks.  Please contact the Concierge for snowmobiling tours and reservations.

Snow Shoeing

Search out backcountry paths or snowshoe straight up the mountain.  Whatever your desired activity level, Beaver Creek Mountain has tons of snowshoe trails to explore.  Enjoy tramping through the groomed trails of McCoy Park, located atop the Strawberry Park Express.  Strawberry Park is a dedicated snowshoe and cross-country ski area with 32km of tracked and rustic trails.  Contact the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at (970) 845-5313 for information on gear, rentals, guided tours and lessons.
